Here are some pics of the girl at her horseback riding lessons. She had a wonderful time!!

A Job for me!!!

For the past 4 years while we were in CT I have been doing decorating for people, going to their homes measuring, designing, fabricating, and installing. My favorite part of the whole process was fabricating, i.e. making the pattern, sewing it and putting it all together. Well, 2 weeks ago I noticed a job in the classified section needing a seamstress for a drapery company. I was curious. I called to find out more info and after hearing about my background they wanted to see me right away. I went in for an interview that day and they offered me the job on the spot. (It is nice to be wanted for my mind!!!) {I can't believe I just wrote that! and that family will read it! But it is to funny to delete!} After talking with Rick about it over the weekend, we decided to give it a try.
This company was very accommodating working around the kids school schedule, I work 9-3 Mon thru Thurs and 9-1 on Fri. The kids don't even realize I am gone.
I just started my second week there and I am loving it. There are 2 other women on the floor that I work on which is the "creative floor". That means that we do all the fun stuff like swags, valances, shades, and cornices. There are 3 other floors: the basement is the workshop where all of the boards are cut and the cornices are built, the main floor is the retail shop that sells fabric and has the offices, and the 1st floor which is has the cutting room and where another group of people make panels (which is something I always hated doing). So I get to do everything I enjoy doing and I don't have to do the things I don't like to do. How perfect is that.
