Kids say the darndest things
This morning Rick and the kids were watching the old "Superman" movie, the one from 1978 with Christopher Reeve. Of course DQ likes to ask questions: What's that? How do they do that? What is going to happen? etc. etc. Rick replies "I don't know I haven't seen this since I was your age." DQ looks at him in wonder and says "You mean it wasn't in black and white!"

The following is ripped off from Readers Digest July issue, and was originally submitted by a Karen Orloff of Hopwell Junction, NY.
We took the family to one of those rstaurants where the walls are plastered with movie memorabilia. I went off to see the hostess about reserving a table.
When I returned, I found my 11-year-old daughter staring at a poster of Superman standing in a phone booth. She looked puzzled.
"She doesn't know who Superman is?" I whispered to my husband.
"Worse," he replied. "She doesn't know what a phone booth is."
